Hello, my bored stiff friends! This time we present another cool number of LEGO photos by Balakov (previously we had 20 Amazing LEGO Artworks by Nathan Sawaya).
Balakov’s real name is actually Mike Stimpson. He’s some guy from uk which takes countless LEGO pictures and says he really loves “messing about with macro lighting”.
in which did he discover photography, or maybe more exactly dealing with lights? “Strobist.com taught me everything i am aware.” says Balakov.
inside the bio he also alludes to Garry Winogrand – “we photograph to see just what anything will appear like photographed”. Unusual description, but their pictures tend to be amazing.
Well, let’s leap to Balakov’s pictures (mcdougal calls their collection “Classics in LEGO”).

A Lego activity of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s 1969 “Bed-In” in Amsterdam. Try as I might, i possibly couldn’t get the name for the photographer whom took the first picture. There were numerous photographers provide during the week-long bed-in, including Roy Kerwood, Elmar Welge, Nico Koster, Cor Jaring, Gerry Deiter, Ivor Sharp and Bob Gruen. it is a Lego entertainment of Richard Prince’s 1989 rephotograph “Untitled (Cowboy)”. Whenever I checked final it absolutely was the 6th priciest picture in the world (sold at Christies in ny for $1,248,000 in 2005).
the initial (shown here), if you can call-it that, was a rephotographing of Marlboro smoking advertisments slashed from mags (of initially photographed by Sam Abell).

I’d be impressed if any person managed to understand this without having the subject.
Ansel Adams might be my favourite professional photographer of all time, which is one of my favourite photographs of their. Their photos don’t exactly jump out to be suitable for Lego reinterpretation, but I’ll be dammed if I’m perhaps not going to have a go.
“Moon and Half Dome” had been taken by Adams in 1960 in Yosemite national playground, California. The original will be here.
